What we publish
Top Data Rooms is a list publication. Instead of one long ranking that tries to serve everyone, we keep a family of top 10 lists, each built for a different buyer: the overall list, lists by requirement (security, value, AI features, ease of use), lists by buyer (M&A teams, startups, enterprises, law firms, real estate) and lists by region (Europe, the United States, Asia-Pacific).
Behind the lists sit a leaderboard of every provider we track, a profile for each one, head-to-head comparisons of rooms that are often shortlisted together, a pricing page with a calculator, a feature checker and a short finder for readers who want a starting shortlist.
Who we are
The site is written and maintained by a small editorial team with backgrounds in corporate finance, deal advisory and software procurement. We publish under the shared byline “Top Data Rooms editors” because every list is a team product: one editor drafts, a second checks the facts and the scoring, and changes to the method are agreed by the whole team.
How we evaluate
We evaluate data rooms from what vendors publish and what buyers can verify: product documentation, published pricing, trial terms, security attestations such as SOC 2 reports and ISO 27001 certificates, and a shared facts file that we re-check every month. We do not claim to have run live deals in every product, and we do not publish user ratings from review platforms. Where a fact cannot be confirmed, we say so and suggest the question to ask the vendor.
