How the lists relate to each other
Every list draws on the same 18 providers and the same six criterion marks. What changes is the weighting, the entry rule and a handful of bonus points. That is deliberate: when a provider's facts change, every list moves at once, and you can always trace a position back to a number on the provider's profile.
This month Ellty tops 13 lists. Those first places are close in most cases; the summary card on each list shows the gap between first and third.
How many top lists each provider makes
Some providers appear on nearly every list because they score well across the board. Others appear only where their particular strength is weighted: a file-sharing tool with an easy interface can make the easiest-to-use list without making the M&A list, which requires a Q&A module.

- Check the entry rule. Some lists only admit rooms with a specific feature, such as Q&A for M&A or watermarks plus an audit trail for security.
- Look at the weights card. It shows what this list values most, against the overall model.
- Treat close scores as ties. Two or three points rarely decide anything; read the "why it made the list" line instead.
- Open two profiles and one head-to-head. Then book demos with the two rooms that fit, and ask each to quote the same scope.
Questions about our top lists
Why do the top lists rank providers differently?
Each list re-weights the same six criteria for one kind of buyer and may require a feature or add bonus points for facts that matter to that buyer, such as ISO 27001 for the security list or a published price for the value list. A provider that is fourth overall can be second on a narrower list.
Which list should I start with?
Start with the list that matches your hardest requirement. If procurement insists on a certificate, use the most secure list; if you are running an auction, the M&A list; if you are raising a round, the startups list. If nothing stands out, the overall top 10 is a sound default.
Are the lists updated?
Yes. The facts behind every list are re-checked monthly and the rankings are recomputed at the same time, so all lists move together when a fact changes.
Can a provider pay to be on a list?
No, partners cannot buy a position. Partner links are disclosed in the footer.
